The idea that the Lord our God is not a personage of tabernacle is entirely a mistaken notion. He was once a man. If he had a Father, he was made in his likeness. And if he is our Father we are made after his image and likeness.

The Holy Ghost is God's minister, and is delegated to visit the sons and daughters of men. All intelligent beings pertaining to this earth are instructed from the same source.

There are multitudes of pure and holy spirits waiting to take tabernacles, now what is our duty. To prepare tabernacles for them; to take a course that will not tend to drive those spirits into families of the wicked, where they will be trained in wickedness, debauchery, and every species of crime. It is the duty of every righteous man and woman to prepare tabernacles for all the spirits they can. This is the reason why the doctrine of plurality of wives was revealed, that the noble spirits which are waiting for tabernacles might be brought forth.

If the Latter-day Saints will walk up to their privileges, and exercise faith in the name of Jesus Christ, and live in the enjoyment of the fullness of the Holy Ghost constantly day by day, there is nothing on the face of the earth that they could ask for, that would not be given to them. The Lord is waiting to be very gracious unto this people, and to pour out upon them riches, honor, glory, and power, even that they may possess all things according to the promises He has made through His apostles and prophets.

Of the time that is allotted to man here on the earth there is none to lose or waste. Angels are those beings who have been on an earth like this, and have passed through the same ordeals that we are now passing through. They have kept their first estate far enough to preserve themselves in the Priesthood. They did not so violate the law of the Priesthood and condemn themselves to the sin against the Holy Ghost as to be finally lost. They are not crowned with the celestial ones. They are persons who have lived upon an earth, but did not magnify the Priesthood in that high degree that many others have done who have become Gods, even the sons of God.

प्रभु ने आपको और मुझे इसलिए बनाया है कि हम उसी की तरह परमेश्वर (ईश्वर) बन सकें; जब हम अपनी वर्तमान स्थिति में परखे जा चुके हों और उन सभी चीज़ों के प्रति वफादार रहे हों जो उसने हमें सौंपी हैं। हम इंसानों की निम्न अवस्था से ऊपर उठकर अपने स्वर्ग में स्थित पिता की तरह परमेश्वर बनने के खास मक़सद के लिए रचे और पैदा किए गए हैं। सच्चाई यही है, बिल्कुल जैसी यह है। प्रभु ने इंसानों का गठन इसी स्पष्ट उद्देश्य से किया है कि वे उस ज्ञान और सच्चाई में आगे बढ़ सकें जो परमेश्वर के पास है, यहाँ तक कि वे एक के बाद एक दुनियाएँ रचने में सक्षम हो जाएं और परमेश्वर, यानी परमेश्वर के पुत्र बन जाएं।

The Lord created you and me for the purpose of becoming Gods like Himself; when we have been proved in our present capacity, and been faithful with all things He puts into our possession. We are created, we are born for the express purpose of growing up from the low estate of manhood, to become Gods like unto our Father in heaven. That is the truth about it, just as it is. The Lord has organized mankind for the express purpose of increasing in that intelligence and truth, which is with God, until he is capable of creating worlds on worlds, and becoming Gods, even the sons of God

आप चाहे कयामत के दिन तक बाइबल से अपने सिद्धांतों को सही साबित करते रहें, इससे लोगों को सिर्फ यकीन तो हो जाएगा, लेकिन उनका हृदय परिवर्तन नहीं होगा। आप उत्पत्ति से लेकर प्रकाशित वाक्य तक पूरी बाइबल पढ़ डालें और अपनी बात का एक-एक शब्द साबित कर दें, तब भी अकेले इसका लोगों के जीवन पर कोई आध्यात्मिक प्रभाव नहीं पड़ेगा। पवित्र आत्मा की शक्ति से मिलने वाली गवाही के बिना न तो उन्हें प्रकाश और ज्ञान मिल सकता है और न ही उनके दिलों में पश्चाताप की भावना जाग सकती है। इसके अलावा और कुछ भी कभी काम नहीं आएगा।

You might prove doctrine from the Bible till doomsday, and it would merely convince a people, but would not convert them. You might read the Bible from Genesis to Revelations, and prove every iota that you advance, and that alone would have no converting influence upon the people. Nothing short of a testimony by the power of the Holy Ghost would bring light and knowledge to them -- bring them in their hearts to repentance. Nothing short of that would ever do.

When you get up in the morning, before you suffer yourselves to eat one mouthful of food, call your wife and children together, bow down before the Lord, ask him to forgive your sins, and protect you through the day, to preserve you from temptation and all evil, to guide your steps aright.

What a learned idea! Jesus, our elder brother, was begotten in the flesh by the same character that was in the garden of Eden, and who is our Father in Heaven. Now, let all who may hear these doctrines, pause before they make light of them, or treat them with indifference, for they will prove their salvation or damnation

Our education should be such as to improve our minds and fit us for increased usefulness; to make us of greater service to the human family.

Now hear it, O inhabitants of the earth, Jew and Gentile, Saint and sinner! When our father Adam came into the garden of Eden, he came into it with a celestial body, and brought Eve, one of his wives, with him. He helped to make and organize this world. He is Michael, the Archangel, the Ancient of Days! about whom holy men have written and spoken -- He is our Father, and our God, and the only God with whom we have to do. Every man upon the earth, professing Christians or non professing, must hear it, and will know it sooner or later.

Don't try to tear down other people's religion about their ears, Build up your own perfect structure of truth, and invite your listeners to enter in and enjoy it's glories.

बच्चों को दयालु और स्नेहपूर्ण तरीके से मार्गदर्शन और सही शिक्षा की आवश्यकता होती है। हम अक्सर देखते हैं कि माता-पिता खुद तो कड़واहट और डांट-डपट से भरे होते हैं, फिर भी बच्चे या बच्चों से आज्ञाकारिता, अच्छे व्यवहार, मीठे शब्दों, खुशनुमा चेहरों, सुरीली आवाज़ और चमकती आँखों की मांग करते हैं! यह कितना असंगत और तर्कहीन है!

Children need directing and teaching what is right in a kind, affectionate manner How often we see parents demand obedience, good behavior, kind words, pleasant looks, a sweet voice and a bright eye from a child or children when they themselves are full of bitterness and scolding! How inconsistent and unreasonable this is!

यदि आपके पास खाने को रोटी नहीं है, तो आप अपनी किस बुद्धिमत्ता पर शेखी बघारेंगे और आपकी प्रतिभाओं का क्या वास्तविक उपयोग है, यदि आप अपने लिए और तंगी के दिनों के लिए उन चीज़ों को नहीं जुटा सकते जो आपके प्राकृतिक जीवन को बनाए रखने के लिए बनी हैं?

If you are without bread, how much wisdom can you boast and of what real utility are your talents, if you cannot procure for yourselves and save against a day of scarcity those substances designed to sustain your natural lives?

आइए स्वास्थ्य के हर नियम का पालन करके, और काम, पढ़ाई, आराम व मनोरंजन के बीच सही संतुलन बनाकर अपने इस जीवन को अधिक से अधिक लंबा खींचने का प्रयास करें।

Let us seek to extend the present life to the uttermost by observing every law of health, and by properly balancing labor, study, rest and recreation.

Who can tell us of the inhabitants of this little planet that shines of an evening, called the moon?...when you inquire about the inhabitants of that sphere you find that the most learned are as ignorant in regard to them as the most ignorant of their fathers. So it is in regard to the inhabitants of the sun. Do you think it is inhabited? I rather think it is. Do you think there is any life there? No question of it; it was not made in vain. It was made to give light to those who dwell upon it, and to other planets; and so will this earth when it is celestialized

The Americans as a nation are killing themselves with their vices and high living. As much as a man ought to eat in half an hour they swallow in three minutes gulping down their food like the [dog] under the table which when a chunk of meat is thrown down to it swallows it before you can say 'twice.' If you want a reform carry out the advice I have just given you. Dispense with your multitudinous dishes, and, depend upon it, you will do much towards preserving your families from sickness, disease and death.

The Old and New Testaments are the stick of Judah. You recollect that the tribe of Judah tarried in Jerusalem and the Lord blessed Judah, and the result was the writings of the Old and New Testaments. But where is the stick of Joseph? Can you tell where it is? Yes. It was the children of Joseph who came across the waters to this continent, and this land was filled with people, and the Book of Mormon or the stick of Joseph contains their writings, and they are in the hands of Ephraim

I wanted to thunder and roar out the Gospel to all nations. It burned in my bones like fire pent up... Nothing would satisfy me but to cry abroad in the world, what the Lord was doing in the latter days.

इज़राइल में परमेश्वर के कानून, यानी दिव्य (सेलेस्टियल) कानून के तहत एक ऐसा समय भी आया था—क्योंकि यह उस राज्य के कानूनों में से एक है जहाँ हमारे पिता निवास करते हैं—कि यदि कोई व्यक्ति व्यभिचार का दोषी पाया जाता, तो उसका खून बहाया जाना चाहिए, और वह समय अब निकट है। लेकिन अब मैं प्रभु के नाम पर कहता हूँ कि यदि यह लोग आगे से पाप न करें और निष्ठापूर्वक अपने धर्म का पालन करें, तो बिना उनकी जान लिए उनके पाप माफ कर दिए जाएंगे।

The time has been in Israel under the law of God, the celestial law, or that which pertains to the celestial law, for it is one of the laws of that kingdom where our Father dwells, that if a man was found guilty of adultery, he must have his blood shed, and that is near at hand. But now I say, in the name of the Lord, that if this people will sin no more, but faithfully live their religion, their sins will be forgiven them without taking life

आपका एंडोवमेंट (दिव्य दीक्षा) प्रभु के घर में वे तमाम संस्कार प्राप्त करना है, जो इस जीवन को छोड़ने के बाद आपके लिए आवश्यक हैं, ताकि आप वापस पिता की उपस्थिति तक चल कर पहुँच सकें।

Your endowment is, to receive all those ordinances in the house of the Lord, which are necessary for you, after you have departed this life, to enable you to walk back to the presence of the Father.
