First, my people must be taught the knowledge of self. Then and only then will they be able to under-stand others and that which surrounds them. Anyone who does not have a knowledge of self is considered a victim of either amnesia or unconsciousness and is not very competent. The lack of knowledge of self is a prevailing condition among my people here in America. Gaining the knowledge of self makes us unite into a great unity. Knowledge of self makes you take on the great virtue of learning.

चार आदतें जिस किसी में भी हों, वह पक्का पाखंडी (मुनाफिक) है, और जिसमें इनमें से एक भी आदत हो, उसमें पाखंड का अंश है जब तक कि वह उसे छोड़ न दे: जब उसे कोई अमानत दी जाए तो वह खयानत करे, जब बात करे तो झूठ बोले, जब वादा करे तो धोखा दे, और जब झगड़े तो गाली-गलौज पर उतर आए।

Four characteristics constitute anyone who possesses them a sheer hypocrite, and anyone who possesses one of them possesses a characteristic of hypocrisy till he abandons it: when he is trusted he betrays his trust, when he talks he lies, when he makes a covenant he acts treacherously and when he quarrels he abuses.

जो कोई अल्लाह और आख़िरत के दिन पर ईमान रखता है, उसे चाहिए कि वह अपने मेहमान का आदर करे; जो अल्लाह और आख़िरत के दिन पर ईमान रखता है, उसे अपने पड़ोसियों को तकलीफ न पहुँचाए; और जो अल्लाह और आख़िरत के दिन पर ईमान रखता है, उसे चाहिए कि भली बात कहे या चुप रहे।

He who believes in God and the Last Day should honour his guest; he who believes in God and the Last Day should not annoy his neighbours; and he who believes in God and the Last Day should say what is good or keep silent.

जो कोई किसी मोमिन की दुनिया की परेशानियों में से कोई परेशानी दूर करता है, अल्लाह कयामत के दिन उसकी परेशानियों में से एक परेशानी दूर करेगा; जो किसी तंगी में फंसे इंसान के लिए आसानी पैदा करता है, अल्लाह इस दुनिया में और परलोक में उसके लिए आसानी पैदा करेगा; और जो किसी मुसलमान के ऐब छुपाता है, अल्लाह इस दुनिया और परलोक में उसके ऐब छुपाएगा। अल्लाह उस वक्त तक बंदे की मदद करता है जब तक वह अपने भाई की मदद में लगा रहता है। जो कोई ज्ञान की तलाश में किसी रास्ते पर चलता है, अल्लाह उसके लिए जन्नत का रास्ता आसान कर देता है।

If anyone removes (one of the) anxieties of this world from a believer, God will remove (one of the) anxieties from him on the Day of Resurrection; if one smoothes the way for one who is destitute, God will smooth the way for him in this world and the next; and if anyone conceals the faults of a Muslim, God will conceal his faults in this world and the next. God helps a man as long as he helps his brother. If anyone pursues a path in search of knowledge God will thereby make easy for him a path to paradise.

When the first man created Himself, He was the light of the circle. Then He willed the sun into being It was 6 trillion years between the making of the sun and the creation of man.
