मुझे हमेशा से संगीत से प्यार रहा है। मैं उन बच्चों में से नहीं थी जो "पाँच साल की उम्र से ही धुनें बनाने लगे थे", लेकिन उस उम्र से ही मैं संगीत से किसी न किसी रूप में ज़रूर जुड़ी हुई थी—म्यूजिकल में गाना और संगीत की तालीम लेना। ढेरों क्लासेज! गाना, नाचना, एक्टिंग करना, ड्रम बजाना। हफ्ते में छह दिन मुझे पूरे शहर में घुमाने का मेरी माँ का मानो एक फुल-टाइम जॉब बन गया था।
I've always loved music. I wasn't one of those "composing since I was five" kids, but I was definitely involved with music since I was that age - singing in musicals and taking lessons. Lots of lessons! Singing, dancing, acting, drums set. My mom pretty much had a full-time job carting me all over town six days a week.

सच तो यह है कि हर नया दिन और हर नया प्रोजेक्ट सीखने, प्रयोग करने और कुछ ऐसा आज़माने का एक नया अवसर होता है जो मैंने पहले कभी न किया हो। मैंने पाया है कि यही चीज़ मुझे प्रेरित रखती है और आगे बढ़ाती है—नई चीजें सीखना और एक संगीतकार, रिकॉर्डिंग इंजीनियर, पर्क्यूशनिस्ट, गिटारिस्ट, प्रोड्यूसर के रूप में खुद को बेहतर बनाने के लिए रोज़ाना खुद को चुनौती देना... और यह सूची ऐसे ही लंबी चलती जाती है!
The reality is each new day and each project is another opportunity to learn, experiment and try something I haven't done before. I've found that's what keeps me motivated and moving forward - learning new things and challenging myself on a daily basis to improve as a composer, recording engineer, percussionist, guitarist, producer...the list goes on and on!
