Love makes us instinctively reach out to God and other people. Lust, on the other hand, is anything but godly and celebrates self-indulgence. It destroys that which is second only to our faith in God-namely, faith in those we love. One way or another, I think virtually all of the prophets and early Apostles had their visionary moments of our time--a view that gave them courage in their own less successful eras. Satan is certainly not subtle in his teachings; why should we be? Whether we are instructing our children at home or standing before an audience in church, let us never make our faith difficult to detect.

We must never let fear... divert us from our faith and faithful living. Every person in every era has had to walk by faith into what has always been some uncertainty. This is the plan. Just be faithful. God is in charge. He knows your name and He knows your need.

"And I suppose you think your puny bird legs can hold up the whole universe?" laughed the horseman. "Perhaps not," said the sparrow with conviction, "but one does whatever one can.

Honestly acknowledge your questions and your concerns, but first and forever fan the flame of your faith, because all things are possible to them that believe.

When we come to worship the God and Father of us all and to partake of the sacrament symbolizing the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we should be as comely and respectful, as dignified and appropriate as we can be. We should be recognizable in appearance as well as in behavior that we truly are disciples of Christ.

Certainly don't go to that being who is bent on your destruction of your happiness. Face your doubts. Master your fears. 'Cast not away therefore your confidence.' Stay the course and see the beauty of life unfold for you.

Like the woman who anonymously, meekly, perhaps even with hesitation and some embarrassment, fought her way through the crowd just to touch the hem of the Master's garment, so Christ will say to the women who worry and wonder and weep over their responsibility as mothers, `Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.' And it will make your children whole as well.

आपके स्वर्ग में रहने वाले पिता आपका नाम और आपकी परिस्थिति से भली-भांति परिचित हैं। वह आपकी प्रार्थनाओं को सुनते हैं। वह आपकी उम्मीदों और सपनों के साथ-साथ आपके डर और निराशाओं को भी जानते हैं। और वह यह भी जानते हैं कि आप अपने विश्वास के माध्यम से क्या बन सकते हैं।

Your Father in heaven knows your name and knows your circumstance. He hears your prayers. He knows your hopes and dreams, including your fears and frustrations. And He knows what you can become through faith in Him.

Your love for Jesus Christ and your discipleship in His cause must be the consuming preoccupation and passion of your mortality.

A foundation in Christ was and is always to be a protection in days "when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you." In such days as we are now in--and will more or less always be in--the storms of life "shall have no power over you... because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." (Helaman 5:12)

After an encounter with the living Son of the living God, nothing is ever again to be as it was before.

मसीह की एक सच्ची बेटी बनिए। परमेश्वर की नज़रों में अपने इस आदरणीय स्थान को संजोकर रखिए। उसे आपकी ज़रूरत है। इस चर्च को आपकी ज़रूरत है। इस दुनिया को आपकी ज़रूरत है। परमेश्वर में एक स्त्री का अटूट विश्वास और आध्यात्मिक बातों के प्रति उसकी अगाध निष्ठा हमेशा से एक ऐसा लंगर साबित हुई है जब जीवन की हवाएँ और लहरें सबसे ज़्यादा उग्र थीं।

Be a woman of Christ. Cherish your esteemed place in the sight of God. He needs you. This church needs you. The world needs you. A woman's abiding trust in God and unfailing devotion to things of the Spirit have always been an anchor when the wind and the waves of life were fiercest.

चमत्कारों में विश्वास रखिए। मैंने ऐसे कई चमत्कार तब होते देखे हैं जब हर दूसरे संकेत से यही लग रहा था कि सारी उम्मीद खत्म हो चुकी है। उम्मीद कभी खत्म नहीं होती। यदि वे चमत्कार जल्दी, पूरी तरह से या ज़ाहिर तौर पर बिल्कुल भी न दिखें, तो उद्धारकर्ता के खुद के उस दर्दनाक उदाहरण को याद रखें: यदि यह कड़वा प्याला न टले, तो उसे पी लीजिए और मजबूत बने रहिए, यह भरोसा रखते हुए कि आगे आने वाले दिन और भी खुशनुमा होंगे।

Believe in miracles. I have seen so many of them come when every other indication would say that hope was lost. Hope is never lost. If those miracles do not come soon or fully or seemingly at all, remember the Savior's own anguished example: if the bitter cup does not pass, drink it and be strong, trusting in happier days ahead.

चमत्कारों में विश्वास रखिए। मैंने ऐसे कई चमत्कार देखे हैं। वे तब हुए जब हर हालात से लग रहा था कि उम्मीद खत्म हो चुकी है। उम्मीद कभी खत्म नहीं होती!

Believe in miracles. I have seen so many. They came when every indication would say that Hope was lost. Hope is never lost!

Believe that your faith has everything to do with your romance, because it does.

Brothers and sisters, one of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so. His solitary journey brought great company for our little version of that path…This Easter week and always, may we stand by Jesus Christ ‘at all times and in all things, and in all places that (we) may be in, even until death,’ for surely that is how He stood by us when it was unto death and when He had to stand entirely and utterly alone.

Brothers and sisters, this is a divine work in process, with the manifestations and blessings of it abounding in every direction, so please don’t hyperventilate if from time to time issues arise that need to be examined, understood, and resolved. They do and they will. In this Church, what we know will always trump what we do not know. And remember, in this world, everyone is to walk by faith.

इस धरती पर मसीह जैसा प्रेम हमारी सबसे बड़ी ज़रूरत है, आंशिक रूप से इसलिए क्योंकि धार्मिकता को हमेशा इसके साथ होना चाहिए था। सच्ची धार्मिकता से उपजा शुद्ध मसीह जैसा प्रेम दुनिया को बदल सकता है।

Christlike love is the greatest need we have on this planet in part because righteousness was always supposed to accompany it. Pure Christlike love flowing from true righteousness can change the world.

इस धरती पर मसीह जैसा प्रेम हमारी सबसे बड़ी ज़रूरत है... इसलिए यदि प्रेम ही हमारा मूलमंत्र होना चाहिए, जैसा कि होना भी चाहिए, तो उस परमेश्वर के वचनों के अनुसार जो स्वयं प्रेम का रूप हैं, हमें पाप और उसका समर्थन करने वाले किसी भी विचार का त्याग करना होगा।

Christlike love is the greatest need we have on this planet... So if love is to be our watchword, as it must be, them by the word of Him who is love personified, we must forsake transgression and any hint of advocacy for it in others.

Christ walked the path every mortal is called to walk so that he would know how to succor and strengthen us in our most difficult times. He knows the deepest and most personal burdens we carry. He knows the most public and poignant pains we bear. He descended below al such grief in order that he might lift us above it. There is no anguish or sorrow or sadness in life that he has not suffered in our behalf and borne away upon his own valiant and compassionate shoulders.

सुबह 9:00 बजे हुई किसी बात पर तब मत घबराइए जब परमेश्वर की कृपा शाम 6:00 बजे आपको पुरस्कृत करने का प्रयास कर रही हो।

Don't hyperventilate about something that happened at 9:00 in the morning when the grace of God is trying to reward you at 6:00 in the evening.

आप हार मत मानिए। आप चलते रहिए, कोशिश करते रहिए, आगे मदद और खुशी आपका इंतजार कर रही है। कुछ आशीर्वाद जल्दी मिलते हैं। कुछ देर से मिलते हैं। कुछ तो स्वर्ग में जाकर मिलते हैं। लेकिन जो लोग यीशु मसीह के सुसमाचार को अपनाते हैं, उन्हें वे जरूर मिलते हैं। अंत में सब ठीक हो जाएगा। ईश्वर पर भरोसा रखिए और अच्छे दिनों के आने पर विश्वास रखिए।

Don't you quit. You keep walking, you keep trying, there is help and happiness ahead. Some blessings come soon. Some come late. Some don't come until heaven. But for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come. It will be alright in the end. Trust God and believe in Good Things to Come.

God expects you to have enough faith and determination and enough trust in Him to keep moving, keep living, keep rejoicing. God is anxiously waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can't if you don't pray, and He can't if you don't dream. God is eagerly waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as he always has. But he can't if you don't pray, and he can't if you don't dream. In short, he can't if you don't believe.

God wants us to be stronger than we are--more fixed in our purpose, more certain of our commitments, eventually needing less coddling from Him, showing more willingness to shoulder some of the burden of His heavy load. In short, He wants us to be more like He is and, if you haven't noticed, some of us are not like that yet.

However late you think you are, however many chances you think you have missed, however many mistakes you feel you have made or talents you think you don’t have, or however far from home and family and God you feel you have traveled, I testify that you have not traveled beyond the reach of divine love. It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ’s Atonement shines.

I believe that in our own individual ways, God takes us to the grove or the mountain or the temple and there shows us the wonder of what His plan is for us. Please listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit telling you right now, this very moment, that you should accept the atoning gift of the Lord Jesus Christ and enjoy the fellowship of His labor. Don’t delay. It’s getting late.

Life is tough enough without the person who is supposed to love you leading the assault on your self-esteem, your sense of dignity, your confidence, and your joy. In this person's care, you deserve to feel physically safe and emotionally secure.

In such times as we are in, whether the threats be global or local or in individual lives, I too pray for the children. Some days it seems that a sea of temptation and transgression inundates them, simply washes over them before they can successfully withstand it, before they should have to face it. And often at least some of the forces at work seem beyond our personal control. Well, some of them may be beyond our control, but I testify with faith in the living God that they are not beyond His.

In that most burdensome moment of all human history, with blood appearing at every pore and an anguished cry upon His lips, Christ sought Him whom He had always sought—His Father. “Abba,” He cried, “Papa,” or from the lips of a younger child, “Daddy.” This is such a personal moment it almost seems a sacrilege to cite it. A Son in unrelieved pain, a Father His only true source of strength, both of them staying the course, making it through the night—together.

In the gospel of Jesus Christ you have help from both sides of the veil, and you must never forget that. When disappointment and discouragement strike--and they will--you remember and never forget that if our eyes could be opened we would see horses and chariots of fire as far as the eye can see riding at reckless speed to come to our protection. They will always be there, these armies of heaven, in defense of Abraham's seed.

In this long eternal quest to be more like our Savior, may we try to be “perfect” men and women in at least this one way now—by offending not in word, or more positively put, by speaking with a new tongue, the tongue of angels. Our words, like our deeds, should be filled with faith and hope and charity, the three great Christian imperatives so desperately needed in the world today.

In whatever country you live, however young or inadequate you feel, or however aged or limited you see yourself as being, I testify you are individually loved of God, you are central to the meaning of His work, and you are cherished and prayed for by the presiding officers of His Church. The personal value, the sacred splendor of every one of you, is the very reason there is a plan for salvation and exaltation.

I suppose it goes without saying that negative speaking so often flows from negative thinking about ourselves. We see our own faults, we speak--or at least think--critically of ourselves, and before long that is how we see everyone and everything. No sunshine, no roses, no promise of hope or happiness. Before long we and everybody around us are miserable.

I suppose no one is as handsome or as beautiful as he or she wishes, or as brilliant in school or as witty in speech or as wealthy as we would like, but in a world of varied talents and fortunes that we can't always command, I think that makes even more attractive the qualities we can command--such qualities as thoughtfulness, patience, a kind word, and true delight in the accomplishment of another. These cost us nothing, and they can mean everything to the one who receives them.

I testify of the renewing power of God's love and the miracle of His grace. His concern is for the faith at which you finally arrive, not the hour of the day in which you got there.

I testify that no one of us is less treasured or cherished of God than another. I testify that He loves each of us—insecurities, anxieties, self-image, and all. He doesn’t measure our talents or our looks; He doesn’t measure our professions or our possessions. He cheers on every runner, calling out that the race is against sin, not against each other.

Jesus has chosen, even in a resurrected, otherwise perfected body, to retain for the benefit of His disciples the wounds in His hands and in His feet and in His side-signs, if you will, that painful things happen even to the pure and the perfect; signs, if you will, that pain in this world is not evidence that God doesn't love you; signs, if you will, that problems pass and happiness can be ours.

Just because God is God, just because Christ is Christ, they cannot do other than care for us and bless us and help us if we will but come unto them, approaching their throne of grace in meekness and lowliness of heart. They can't help but bless us. They have to. It is their nature.

Just believing, just having a molecule of faith--that simple step, when focused on the Lord Jesus Christ, has ever been and always will be not only the first principle of His Eternal Gospel but also the first step out of despair.

Let people repent. Let people grow. Believe that people can change and improve.

Life has its share of fears and failures. Sometimes things fall short. Sometimes people fail us, or economies or businesses or governments fail us. But one thing in time or eternity does not fail us-the pure love of Christ.
