How easily we make things as way, truth, and life. Or, we call hot atmosphere as life, we label clear thought as life. We consider strong emotion or outward conduct as life. In reality, though, these are not life. We ought to realize that only the Lord is life. Christ is our life. And it is the Lord who lives out this life in us. Let us ask Him to deliver us from the many external and fragmentary affairs that we may touch only Him. May we see the Lord in all things-way, truth, and life are all found in knowing Him. May we really meet the Son of God and let Him live in us. Amen.

In order for the inner man to be strengthened with power through the Holy Spirit, the children of God must discharge their responsibility. They need to yield specifically to the Lord, forsake every doubtful aspect in their life, be willing to obey fully God's will, and believe through prayer that He will flood their spirit with His power.

When one tries to increase his knowledge by doing mental gymnastics over books without waiting upon God and looking to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, his soul is plainly in full swing. This will deplete his spiritual life. Because the fall of man was occasioned by seeking knowledge, God uses the foolishness of the cross to "destroy the wisdom of the wise.

How often laziness and emotional distaste for work join to employ physical fatigue as a cover-up.

It is a fact that God wants to destroy every work of our flesh, but He never desires to destroy our personality. He takes no pleasure in transforming us into automata; rather He delights in having us cooperate with Him.

Now the things done may not be evil or improper; they in fact may be good and godly (such as reading the Bible, praying, worshiping, preaching); but if they are not undertaken in a spirit of complete reliance upon the Holy Spirit, then the flesh is the source of all. The old creation is willing to do anything-even to submit to God - if only it is permitted to live and to be active.

Do not grow overconfident following a few victories. Should you not rely upon the Holy Spirit you will soon be thrown once more into a distressing experience. With holy diligence you must cultivate an attitude of dependency.

Only those who are spiritual perceive the reality of the spiritual foe and hence engage in battle. Such warfare is not fought with arms of the flesh. Because the conflict is spiritual so must the weapons.

The author tells a story wherein a missionary friend of his was invited by unbelievers on a train ride to play cards. The friend declined, saying that he did not bring his hands with him. He explained to the astonished group that the hands attached to what they saw as his body belonged to the Lord, and he was thereby able to explain the Gospel.

God aims first to renew man's darkened spirit by imparting life to it, because it is this spirit which God originally designed to receive His life and to commune with Him. God's intent after that is to work out from the spirit to permeate man's soul and body.

Furthermore, through the believer's spirit the Holy Spirit is able to impart God's life to thirsty and dying men. However, this filling of the Holy Spirit differs from the baptism with the Holy Spirit, because the latter is for the purpose of service while the former solves the problem of life (naturally it will affect service too).

None who are shod with fleshly shoes can stand on the holy ground of God's service. Many failures and much waste and confusion which have resulted are due to men's coming to work, instead of being sent out to work.

So we can say, reverently, that God never gave us the Law to keep: he gave us the Law to break! He well knew that we could not keep it.

Do not be taken in or flattered by your own success or fame. Take not only as to whether or not the old creation, including everything which comes by birth, has gone through the cross.

To walk after the spirit a believer must inhibit his mind from revolving endlessly. If it turns too long around one topic, worries or grieves too much over matters, and ponders too intensively to know God's will, it may become unbearable and hamper its normal operation. The mind needs to be kept in a steady and secure state.

प्रभु द्वारा दिया गया बोझ प्रार्थना करते ही उतर जाता है, लेकिन शत्रु की ओर से आने वाली भारीपन तब तक दूर नहीं हो सकती जब तक हम प्रार्थना में संघर्ष और विरोध न करें।

The burden imparted by God is lifted once we have prayed, but the heaviness from the enemy cannot be raised unless we fight and resist in prayer.

प्रवेश द्वार में कोई खराबी नहीं है: रुकावट निकास द्वार पर है। जीवन का जल इसलिए नहीं उमड़ता क्योंकि प्रवाह के आगे कोई रास्ता नहीं है। यदि निकास द्वार को साफ़ कर दिया जाए, तो जीवन का जल निरंतर बहता रहेगा। परमेश्वर की संतान को अधिक जीवन की नहीं बल्कि जीवन के अधिक प्रवाह की आवश्यकता है।

Nothing is wrong with the inlet: It is the outlet that is obstructed. The water of life does not spring forth because the flow has no way through. Were the outlet cleared, the water of life would flow unceasingly. What a child of God needs is not more life but more flow of life.

A spiritual Christian therefore is one whose spirit is led by God's Spirit... Perhaps their speech does convey truth, but without the quickening of the Holy Spirit even truth is of small advantage.

Today, even amongst Christians, there can be found much of that spirit that wants to give as little as possible to the Lord, and yet to get as much as possible from Him. The prevailing thought today is of being used, as though that were the one thing that mattered. That my little rubber band should be stretched to the very limit seems all important. But this is not the Lord's mind. The Lord wants us to be used, yes; but what He is after is that we pour all we have, ourselves, to Him, and if that be all, that is enough.

If whatever men know comes through their brain without the Holy Spirit regenerating their spirit, then their knowledge will help them not one whit. If their belief rests in man's wisdom and not in God's power, they are merely excited in their soul.

Therefore, brethren, pray until God gives us revelation so that "knowing this" in our spirit we may truly confess "that our old man has been crucified with him."

We may be forced to consume considerable time before the spirit cooperates. Or He may want us to intercede for all sinners worldwide for the entire church.

Outside of Christ, I am only a sinner, but in Christ, I am saved. Outside of Christ, I am empty; in Christ, I am full. Outside of Christ, I am weak; in Christ, I am strong. Outside of Christ, I cannot; in Christ, I am more than able. Outside of Christ, I have been defeated; in Christ, I am already victorious. How meaningful are the words, "in Christ."

I do not consecrate myself to be a missionary or a preacher. I consecrate myself to God to do His will where I am, be it in school, office, or kitchen, or wherever He may, in His wisdom, send me.

To bear the cross means that you refrain from doing what you have the power to do. You are qualified to fulfill your desire, yet you refrain from doing so. A person like this is the strongest person. The strongest person is not the one who is able to do something, but the one who is able not to do what he has the power to do.

Good is not always God's will, but God's will is always good.

Negligence in prayer withers the inner man. Nothing can be a substitute for it, not even Christian work. Many are so preoccupied with work that they allow little time for prayer. Hence they cannot cast out demons. Prayer enables us first inwardly to overcome the enemy and then outwardly to deal with him.

Repentance means a change of mind. Formerly, I thought sin as a pleasant thing, but now I have changed my mind about it. Formerly, I thought the world an attractive place, but now I know better. Formerly I regarded it miserable business to be a Christian, but now I think differently. Once I thought certain things delightful, now I think them vile. Once I thought other things utterly worthless, now I think them most precious. That is a change of mind, and that is repentance.

It does not matter what your personal deficiency, or whether it be a hundred and one different things, God has always one sufficient answer, His Son Jesus Christ, and he is the answer to every need.

The breaking of the alabaster box and the anointing of the Lord filled the house with the odor, with the sweetest odor. Everyone could smell it. Whenever you meet someone who has really suffered; been limited, gone through things for the Lord, willing to be imprisoned by the Lord, just being satisfied with Him and nothing else, immediately you scent the fragrance. There is a savor of the Lord. Something has been crushed, something has been broken, and there is a resulting odor of sweetness.

Separation to God, separation from the world, is the first principle of Christian living.

An affection which is not inspired by the Lord will soon be transformed into lust. Samson is not alone in the history of man in failing in this regard. Delilah is still cutting the hair of man today!

हमें सिर्फ पढ़ने और अध्ययन करने पर ही ध्यान नहीं देना चाहिए; बल्कि हमें यह पूछना चाहिए कि क्या हम प्रभु के सामने खुले हैं। यदि हमारा चेहरा बेनकाब नहीं है, तो प्रभु की महिमा हम पर नहीं चमकेगी। यदि हमारा हृदय परमेश्वर के लिए खुला नहीं है, तो परमेश्वर हमें कोई प्रकाश नहीं दे सकता।

We must not pay attention just to reading and studying; rather, we should ask if we are open before the Lord. If we do not have an unveiled face, the glory of the Lord will not shine on us. If our heart is not open to God, God cannot give us any light.

परमेश्वर के पास जाने पर हमें बहुत जल्दी में अपना मुँह नहीं खोलना चाहिए। इसके विपरीत, अपनी प्रार्थना उनके सामने रखने से पहले हमें सबसे पहले परमेश्वर से यह पूछना चाहिए कि क्या और कैसे प्रार्थना करनी है। क्या हमने अतीत में अपनी इच्छा की चीज़ें माँगने में बहुत समय बर्बाद नहीं किया है? क्यों न अब हम वह माँगे जो परमेश्वर चाहता है?

We should not open our mouths too hastily upon approaching God. On the contrary, we first must ask God to show us what and how to pray before we make our request known to Him. Have we not consumed a great deal of time in the past asking for what we wanted? Why not now ask for what God wants?

संसार के चर्च के पितरों की व्यवस्था, राज्य के चर्च की पादरी व्यवस्था, और स्वतंत्र चर्चों की पादरी व्यवस्था—प्रकृति में ये सभी एक समान हैं। वे सब निकोलाई व्यवस्था जैसे ही हैं। बाइबल में केवल भाई हैं। पादरी का वरदान है, लेकिन पादरी की कोई व्यवस्था नहीं है। पादरी की यह व्यवस्था इंसानों की परंपरा है। यदि परमेश्वर की संतानें उस शुरुआती स्थिति में लौटने को तैयार नहीं हैं, तो वे चाहे कुछ भी कर लें, वह कभी सही नहीं होगा।

The system of fathers of the world church, the clergy system of the state church, and the pastoral system of the independent churches are all the same in nature. They are all Nicolaitans. In the Bible there are only brothers. There is the gift of a pastor, but no system of pastors. The pastoral system is man's tradition. If the children of God are not willing to return to the position of that in the beginning, no matter what they do, it will not be right.

पवित्रता की ओर पहला कदम दिव्य दृष्टि पाना है, और दूसरा समर्पण है। हमारे जीवन में भी बपतिस्मा के दिन की तरह एक ऐसा निश्चित दिन आना चाहिए, जब हम अपने ऊपर अपना हर अधिकार छोड़ दें और प्रभु यीशु मसीह की पूर्ण प्रभुता के आगे झुक जाएं।

Revelation is the first step to holiness, and consecration is the second. A day must come in our lives, as definite as the day of our conversion, when we give up all right to ourselves and submit to the absolute Lordship of Jesus Christ.

आजकल मसीही लोग प्रार्थना को अपने उद्देश्यों और विचारों को पूरा करने का एक साधन मानते हैं। यदि उनमें थोड़ी सी भी गहरी समझ होती, तो वे यह पहचान जाते कि प्रार्थना इसके अलावा कुछ नहीं है कि मनुष्य परमेश्वर से वह कहे जो परमेश्वर की ही इच्छा है।

Nowadays Christians appear to treat prayer as a means to accomplish their aims and ideas. If they possessed just a little deeper understanding, they would recognize that prayer is but man uttering to God what is God's will.

मुझे अपने पापों की क्षमा तो चाहिए ही, लेकिन साथ ही पाप की शक्ति से मुक्ति भी चाहिए... मैं परमेश्वर की क्षमा के इस धन्य सत्य की कद्र करता हूँ, लेकिन मैं इससे कुछ बढ़कर चाहता हूँ: मैं मुक्ति चाहता हूँ। मुझे जो मैंने किया है उसके लिए क्षमा चाहिए, लेकिन जो मैं हूँ उससे भी मुझे छुटकारा चाहिए।

I need forgiveness for my sins, but I need also deliverance from the power of sin... I appreciate the blessed fact of God's forgiveness, but I want something more than that: I want deliverance. I need forgiveness for what I have done, but I need also deliverance from what I am.

The Lord has shown me that I can do anything, but that He has said, apart from Me ye can do nothing. So it comes to this, that everything I have done, and can still do apart from Him is nothing!

Our prayers lay the track down which Gods power can come. Like a mighty locomotive, his power is irresistible, but it cannot reach us without rails.

It is important to receive God's arrangement in the circumstances. This arrangement is the discipline of the Holy Spirit. To escape God's arrangement just one time is to lose an opportunity to have our capacity enlarged. A believer can never be the same after passing through suffering.

हमारी रोटी केवल परमेश्वर का वचन ही नहीं है, हमारा भोजन केवल उसकी इच्छा को पूरा करना ही नहीं है, बल्कि हमारी रोटी... वे कठिनाइयाँ भी हैं जो हमारे मार्ग में आती हैं।

Our bread is not only the Word of God, our meat is not only to do His will, our bread is also...the difficulties that are in our way.

व्यवस्था बहुत कुछ मांगती है, लेकिन अपनी माँगों को पूरा करने में कोई मदद नहीं देती। प्रभु यीशु भी उतनी ही, बल्कि उससे भी कहीं अधिक मांग करते हैं (मत्ती 5:21-48), लेकिन वह जो हमसे मांगते हैं, उसे वह स्वयं हमारे भीतर पूरा करते हैं। व्यवस्था हमसे माँगे रखती है और उन्हें पूरा करने में हमें असहाय छोड़ देती है; मसीह भी माँगे रखते हैं, लेकिन वह खुद ही अपनी माँगों को हमारे भीतर पूरा करते हैं।

The Law requires much, but offers no help in the carrying out of its requirements. The Lord Jesus requires just as much, yea even more (Matt. 5:21-48), but what he requires from us he himself carries out in us. The law makes demands and leaves us helpless to fulfill them; Christ makes demands, but he himself fulfills in us the very demands he makes.

यदि मसीह हमारे भीतर निवास करते हैं, तो हम हर परिस्थिति में आनंदित होंगे, और प्रभु को धन्यवाद और स्तुति देंगे। हम सदा यही कहेंगे, 'हालेलुया! प्रभु की जय हो।'

If Christ lives in us, we will rejoice in everything, and we will thank and praise the Lord. We will say, 'Hallelujah! Praise the Lord' forever.

Outside Christ, I am empty; in Christ, I am full.

Actually, only God can satisfy a Christian's heart; man cannot.
